Margaret McQuaid graduated from Northern Illinois University with a bachelor’s degree in political science with a focus in public law. She was awarded a merit-based full scholarship to attend the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Law (formerly The John Marshall Law School). While in law school, Margaret was invited to participate in the Dean’s Leadership Academy, which connected students to many key players in Chicago’s legal community.

As a law student, Margaret held a 711 license to practice as an intern with the DuPage County Public Defender’s Office. After passing the bar exam and being sworn in as a licensed attorney, Margaret worked full time as an Assistant Public Defender.

Margaret has handled hundreds of criminal cases. With any client, my objective is to get you the best possible outcome.

Margaret also has experience handling State post-conviction/habeas matters, and has written multiple Federal appeals to the Seventh Circuit.
